Google Maps speedometer arrives on iOS and CarPlay worldwide

After years on Android, Google Maps' speedometer is now rolling out globally to iOS and CarPlay. The on-screen dial shows your current speed and changes color if you go over the posted limit. It’s part of version 6.123.0, enabled via a server-side update. Google says it’s for information only, and early users report occasional jitter from GPS—use your car’s speedometer as the source of truth.
